The important criteria in the design are the surge voltages, grid voltage variation, temperature rise limitations, hot spot temperature, noise limitation, transformer oil preservation system, fittings accessories, protection features, need for the manual or automatic tap changing arrangement, parallel operation, indoor or outdoor application, overloads and the like are all carefully studied. Recommendation for all round clearance, cooling air flow, foundation for the transformer are furnished against specific request.
